Funda is a technology business and the biggest online property platform in the Netherlands. We have ambitious plans for the future, so we can serve house buyers and estate agents even better. And our greatest resource? You guessed it: it's our people!

That's why we're looking for your skills. Even though funda is very much a Dutch platform, we have employees of 25 different nationalities — because we only want the best people, and that means searching across the globe! As a Recruiter you know like no other where to find the talent we need, and where we as funda always need to be visible.


What a typical day might look like

You begin the day with a coffee with Kevin, catch up with each other's work, and discuss the week's most important tasks. What are things looking like with the vacancies? Is it time to go through the submitted applications? Have the candidates that were headhunted on LinkedIn yesterday already responded? And what about the articles for the engineering blog? Check in with the editing team! You then move on to a (virtual) meeting with our Data Lead. She has three open vacancies that must be filled as soon as possible, given that they are vital to achieving the Q3 objectives.


After lunch you have an appointment with a copywriter to compose — together with the hiring manager — a recruitment text for the new Sales vacancy. Next, you go through all your notes, before having a ‘.NET sourcing hour’ with one of the engineers. Then, you interview a candidate for a Customer Support role in a first round job interview. Finished for the day? Almost! You see an interesting job application come in, and decide to book an introductory phone call with the candidate for tomorrow morning. Just before logging off, you see an email from the team that organizes remote activities, and you are too curious not to take a peak to see what exciting things they have planned.


In short, these are your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Full cycle recruitment experience on both technical as non-technical roles
  • Active sourcing (talent pools): since our target group is scarce, you are fully aware that you must be active in your networks on a daily basis in order to find the needles in the haystack.
  • KPIs, SLAs and matters such as ‘time to hire’.
  • Data-driven recruitment (if you want to know, you have to measure!)
  • Continuous process optimization, guaranteeing the quality of the recruitment process and helping to devise recruitment strategies.
  • Strategic recruitment (forecasting, referral programme, reporting).
  • Giving funda an even better profile as an employer (employer branding)


Your team

The Recruitment Team is part of People & Culture and comprises Evert (CFO), Ilse (Head of People & Culture), Leonie (People & Culture Advisor) and Chantal (People & Culture Officer). You will work closely with Kevin (Tech Recruiter). Alongside this you will collaborate a lot with the CTO, Engineering Leads and other hiring managers, and you'll be working together with marketing around projects such as the engineering blog and writing job vacancy texts.

This is you

You are an enthusiastic Recruiter who has an in-depth knowledge of which recruitment tools you need to employ and what paths you need to follow to be effective. You are a sociable person, and everyone will get to know you in no time — which is a good thing, as you must ensure that all your colleagues always have recruitment in the back of their minds! Additionally:

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of work experience as a recruiter 
  • You write and speak Dutch fluently
  • You are results-focused and are driven to succeed, but will not abandon our core values: the 6 fundamentals and our culture
  • You are a networker who is able to ask for help
  • You know how to quickly generate solid backing among all stakeholders
  • You are decisive and able to convince others, and you relish working in a structured way
