As a Medior Backend .NET Engineer at Funda, you build software that helps millions of people to take the next step on the housing market every day. From quick search results to smart data coupling: you make the difference in how the Netherlands finds houses.
Your job in a nutshell
You write high-value code for a platform that is visited tens of millions of times a month. You work with modern technology such as .NET 8, Kubernetes, Azure and event-driven architecture, and ship to production every day via Azure DevOps.
You have ownership of the services and features that you build – from idea all the way to production – and work closely with colleagues to continually improve them. What makes this role unique is Funda's scale, the quality of our codebase and the freedom you get to really make an impact.
What you will do
Develop and refine features which have a direct impact on user experience, such as making search results faster or optimising the data streams of our calculation tools.
Contribute to the further development of our microservices architecture, and ensure that systems remain stable, scalable and easy to maintain.
Analyse and solve problems, from performance bottlenecks to smart caching strategies.
Work together with Funda's engineers, product designers and product managers to transform ideas into robust solutions.
Carry out code reviews, share knowledge with colleagues and actively learn from experienced engineers.
Take responsibility for your own code – also after release.

Your team
At Funda, various scrum teams work on different parts of our platform: from improving the search experience to renewing the system with which real estate agents manage their properties.
We are currently recruiting for various teams. During the recruitment process, we will look together with you at where your knowledge, interests and ambitions would be best placed.
Whichever team you end up in, you will always work with a product manager, UX designer and various frontend and backend engineers on products that matter. This is you
You have experience with .NET Core, microservices, Kubernetes and Azure.
You like thinking about architecture, but find it equally interesting simply to build.
You have ownership of your code and you feel responsible for what you deliver – also after release.
You enjoy learning from others and actively share your own insights with your team.
You love agile working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You're currently living in the Netherlands and speak fluent English (Dutch is a plus).

A salary between € 4.512,23 - € 6.083,64 per month, based on a 40 hours per week contract
Annual bonus of up to 1.5 times your monthly salary
Hybrid working: minimum 40% in the office
25 paid days off a year and the possibility to buy more
Working hours (32/36/40 per week) are negotiable
60% pension coverage

A net monthly reimbursement of up to € 85 for your phone and internet costs
A net work-from-home allowance of € 2.40 per day
