Junior Backend .NET Engineer

  • €3,737.82 - €4,683.76 per month
  • Engineering

Job description

Would you like to learn to build and grow with a platform that impacts the whole of the Netherlands? Funda gives you the opportunity to do that. As Junior Backend .NET Engineer, you work on software that helps millions of people take the next step on the housing market. You learn from experienced colleagues, help build real features and see the direct impact of your work. You're not starting at just another tech company, but are helping build the Netherlands' number-one housing platform.

Your job in a nutshell

You dive into the world of modern backend development: from building microservices to improving existing systems. You are supported by experienced engineers that help you take on increasing amounts of responsibility – from your first pull request to your own feature in production.

You work with technology such as .NET 8, Azure and Kubernetes, and you learn how to write code that not only works, but is also scalable, safe and easy to maintain.

What you will do

  • Work together with your team on backend features for the Funda platform, such as an API that pulls up property data or a coupling with mortgage information.

  • Execute small improvements in existing services and learn how our microservices work together.

  • Write unit tests and improve your code based on feedback from colleagues.

  • Analyse the performance of features and devise solutions to make them quicker and more stable.

  • Look together at technical design choices and understand how scalable systems are built.

  • Learn to work with modern tools such as Azure DevOps, Docker and Kubernetes.

Your team

At Funda, various scrum teams work on different parts of our platform: from improving the search experience to renewing the system with which real estate agents manage their properties.

We are currently recruiting for various teams. During the recruitment process, we will look together with you at where your knowledge, interests and ambitions would be best placed.

Whichever team you end up in, you will always work with a product manager, UX designer and various frontend and backend engineers on products that matter. And that will see that reflected in the pride of your colleagues, such as Medior Frontend Engineer Albert: ‘It's amazing to work on projects that have such a big impact. I've never worked on software with so many users before. It makes me feel that I am really contributing to something valuable.’
